Turning 40

So today I turned 40.

I turned 40 in lock down 3.0 of the covid pandemic.

It was not what I was planning at all.

I wanted a nice big party for my 40th it is something I wanted for quite a while now.

But it wasn’t too be.

Instead it was a quiet family day.

And it was lovely.

It was full of presents video calls, calls, texts, cards and whats app messages.

It was not what was planned but it was still perfect.

I had decorations.

I had so many presents and I had flowers and sashes and tiaras and cake and chocolates.

I had a family day, time sat all together watching a movie and I had a take away.

All in all its been a gorgeously perfect day.

It was so far from the one I have been planning in my head for a while, that it was just as gorgeous as that day would have been.

It’s been quiet but it’s been filled with love.

It’s been filled with presents.

And just the most lovely day with my boys!
