Swimming

Today just the boys and I went swimming.

It isn’t something we generally do, we go swimming with all four of us instead of just me and the boys.

Mainly because Mr L is much more confident in the water than me and Boo still doesn’t swim unless he has arm bands on and BB only learnt to swim himself a few years ago, although now he is very confident.

But today I decided to try it.

The kids are both very independent when it comes to getting changed etc, and I wanted something that we could all do together in the holidays if the weather isn’t that great.

And it was a massive success.

The boys loved it. They both swam for an hour in the pool and still had to be dragged out then.

Boo was like a different child, still in arm bands but totally confident and not bothered by the water at all. He was swimming on his front, on his back, climbing over his brother, jumping in and putting his face in the water.

It is definitely something we will be doing again in the holidays and hopefully we may even get his arm bands off this summer if we keep going regularly.
