Sun, Sea and A First Beach Trip

As it was so lovely on the first day of the holiday and Baba had no school to get up for, Mr L and I decided to arrange an evening down the beach. So we went down once he finished work, and it wasn’t too busy and it wasn’t too hot but warm enough to still have a couple of hours down there.

It was also Boo’s first time on the beach.

It was his first time with the sand between his toes.

He instantly tried to bounce and loved the feeling of the sand on his feet making his little happy noises.

It was his first time in the sea!

Something that he really wanted to do, but once he was in there he wasn’t totally sure about. But he got upset if he wasn’t in there, and liked it at first but just wasn’t too sure about the waves. They shocked him and he was a tad confused!

But kept wanting to go back for more.

It was his first time exploring the sand.

His fingers rubbing together, and digging and picking up and playing.

He was totally fascinated and spent ages just touching, looking, feeling and exploring the sand.

And thankfully not eating it.

Just exploring trying to discover what it was.

It was his first time eating on the beach.

Something that is not many people’s favourite thing to do, sand and food is not a good mix and something that Baba is not too fond off but Boo didn’t care. In fact he still wolfed his sandwich down and was happy to eat it all!

It was a great first trip to the beach for Boo, one where he explored, played and experienced so much.

It was a trip that memories were made on, and Baba loved going to the beach with Boo and having someone to play with.
