Sleep Again…
I have talked about Baba and his night terrors before, and recently he has been really good, and we had a long stretch without any nightmare/terrors or walking! Until this week…
This week he has had three upsets in the night, they have all resulted in him crying and getting very upset in his sleep. He doesn’t wake up but just cries in his sleep quite uncontrollably at times. Mr L has been going in and comforting him, and he settles quiet quickly once someone has gone in. He seems to have no recollection of the previous nights events, but is very tired as his sleep is not as good as usual I am assuming.
It is really difficult, I am not even sure what they are anymore, whether they are nightmares, or night terrors. So I am not 100% sure how to deal with them, so we are a little stumped.
Do you have children who suffer with these? How often do they have these? Baba has had three in the last 6 days is that normal? Any help would be greatly appreciated at the moment, as we aren’t 100% sure what to do!

You poor things – it is horrible. My eldest went through a phase of the terrors – the first time I called an ambulance, I was so scared. She was 9 months when it started – quite early apparently. The HV said just to sit with her until they were finished and rest assured she wouldn’t remember or be badly affected by it. I was though! They did just stop eventually. She only had a couple a month, and they lasted about 6 months and then disappeared. I hope your little one grows out of it soon.
So do I they do affect you don’t they he wakes not having a clue about them but the affect Mr L and myself they are horrible to watch. Thanks for the advice. I hope that he grows out of them soon too xx
