Music!

When I was younger I used to play the guitar and the flute and also had a keyboard to play at home! I loved playing music, but as I got older exams got in the way, the flute got sent back and the keyboard and guitar got moved under the stairs. Every time we moved they moved with us to go and live under another bed, but never coming out. Collecting dust year on year.

Mr L has always mentioned that he wants to play the guitar he has known the guitar is there but hasn’t really looked at it. Yesterday after being at home all week he asked if I still had the guitar. Which lead to a massive route under the bed to find dust filled guitar, and dust filled keyboard.

The guitar needs a damn good tune as you can imagine, as it has not been played for years and years, and the keyboard needed nothing less than a wash! It was so filthy but even so I managed to find them both and get them both out.

A couple of years ago I had  an idea to start playing the guitar again and actually got a few guitar books for a birthday of mine, so I searched high and low for them yesterday as well. Just to see if any of them would be useful, which I actually think they would, once the guitar is tuned in. So we looked at them yesterday cleaned them and then put them to one side!

This morning Baba woke up and found them both rather interesting we had the keyboard on at 7.30am just pressing any key. Baba does have a little keyboard that he loves to play, and he certainly loved the large one, playing with it for a while before getting bored and fed up!

I really want to get into playing music again, I am not sure I have the time, but it is something that I do miss, and something that I am sure I would still love to do. I have a fear that I may have to go right back to the beginning off learning music again as I am not 100% sure I would remember what I am doing, whether I can remember how to read music or anything else at the moment! But it will be worth a shot!
