Pets!

We have had a great day today, just being in the garden and Baba has been playing with Tito and JoJo and Stewie.

He just loves being around animals, it is a real passion for him. After our holiday we are going to buy him some fish, Mr L does not yet know but we are. We have  a tank and now that I have found a place for it in the kitchen where you can see it all day everyday, we are going to get some!

As you can tell I encourage the whole animal thing. I think that it is great to have animals. When I was a child I wanted loads of animals. We had a dog and cat, and fish. We had a budgie for a teeny tiny bit but that was all we were allowed, when the first dog and cat died which where both my sisters, I waited a long time before I was allowed another one. So I have always thought that if my children want animals they can have them. I draw a line, at snakes and snails, can’t be dealing with them. Anything else I am ok with really. I just haven’t told Mr L my plan.

So we were out playing with the dog, chucking his kong around the garden today, and redoing the rabbits run. I have pimped it up a little. I put in some slabs, on top of one another so they have something to climb and can scratch their claws down, a pot with lettuce growing for them to nibble on, a box with some grass cuttings in so they have shelter and fresh food, there is a few dandelions in there as well, and a massive plant pot on its side, with dirt in and loads of hay to stop them digging. You know what it worked. I was so impressed.

They were in there for hours today having fun and no holes! Yeah! So here are a few pictures to show you.

Stewie is going for the plant pot…

And JoJo is not going to be left out!

How simple the day was, cheap and full of fun.
