Organising

I am finally getting the hag of this mum malarkey.

I know, I know that sounds weird to say being that Baba is nearly two and a half, but I really have felt that I have been running around with my eyes all in a muddle for the last two years.

I have been able to do one thing at a time, either have the house tidy, then I have done nothing with Baba or be doing things with Baba and nothing is done in the house. But the last few weeks I have felt that I have been managing the two of them together.

Since Christmas I have been methodically working through the house and sorting stuff out. I am pleased with how every room has turned out and only have the office and paperwork left to do. Which yes will take a while but I am getting there. I don’t know whether the order in the house is helping. Or whether it is saying no to the job last week. But I feel more motivated, more organised. Like something has just suddenly clicked.

I can get the washing done, and yes I have some ironing to do, but I can also get that done. I have suddenly discovered doing a little bit each day is the way that I can get things done.

I do need to organise when I am working, but I have a bit of an idea of how to do it. I still have a massive album for my sister to do and lots of interesting and wonderful posts to write. But I am sure that if I can do the office this week then I will have time to do all of these things on a regular basis.

My other thing is exercise, I am still struggling to get bits done in the day but I am going to work hard on this over the next few weeks. I have already written about walking the dog more, and I am going to be researching that this week trying to find new places to walk and new places to go with Baba and the dog. This is going to start today, we need to go out today and I am hoping to go to a lake near us and take them both for a nice long walk.

I am sure once I have completed the study then I can get on with the other things that I am wanting to do. Baba is now out the house two and a half days each. So I have worked out one day for writing and another for making and the website, and the half the day for studying. I think that these are achievable so I am happy with the plan.

Now just to get over the study then I shall be even happier.

Do you have any great organisational tips? How do you keep on top of everything?

  • Well done you! I am an organizational mess lol.. I manage to walk the dog, do the dishes and do some laundry every day but I spend far too much time idling on the comp instead of working bah… I think you could give me some tips lol 😉

  • Good for you! I’m just muddling through myself, manage to get the bare minimum done when DD has a nap (although I’m usually blogging when I should be sorting out the house to be honest). Exercise… that’s the next goal to tackle. Perhaps when DD starts nursery. When she’s eating properly. And potty trained. I’ll add it to the bottom of the list.

    • I know it is so difficult isn’t it I want to do things that I like when he is napping not all the other stuff. I really struggle with fitting it all in xx

We love comments so please leave some
