New Start?!?

So tomorrow I am going for a job interview!

To work a couple of days a week, after school and into the evening with an autistic boy and his brother. That is all I know at the moment. I think I know the days that the lady needs me for but I am not 100% and I haven’t yet asked what will be happening in the school holidays.

To say that I am scared is an understatement. I have not worked for anyone for nearly three years, and I am not sure that I even want to do it now. But I think that I should go, we need more money to be brought into the house and I am sure this will not be a bad thing to do.

However there is a huge underlying urge that I have.

One that wants to stop from me going, one that wants to concentrate on my writing, and my scrapbooking business.

I have a gut feeling, (I know really scientific but still a massive gut feeling) that these are the way that I should go. My heart is into both of them. I am very passionate about my writing and I have so many plans for the scrapbooking business that I am not sleeping at night, I keep thinking of more things and drafting out different ideas. I love these things and really believe they will be the thing that I can make a success off.

However they are going to take a long time to get started, web designing and planning is difficult! Once they are started it is going to take a while to get my name out there and be earning a fantastic income, however passionate I am about them.

That does not provide money now! That is what I need. So I am going to the interview. I am swallowing my dreams a little to go and am not feeling great about it. But if I have to do it I have to. I am going to go and think of the reason that I am there, for me, Mr L and Baba and to make our lives a little better!

So wish me luck I think that I may need it!

  • Good luck with the interview! I don’t see it as swallowing your dreams, it isn’t a full time job and the money it will generate will help keep you going until your dreams can come to fruition. The job will also add to your dreams because it will take the financial pressure off, so when you work on your scrapbooking and writing it can be with love, not with the over riding pressure that you have to create an income from them as soon as possible.

I can understand your fear about working for someone else for the first time in years, but I am sure you will get back into the swing of things in no time

Good luck with everything, the job, the writing and the scrapbookinga

    • Thank you that is some sound advice there, thanks a lot for that I will try my hardest to take it all on board just feel a bit blah about it at the moment. xx

  • Wow someone who is feeling the same way as me. I put my cv on monster today, its a major blow for me but i seriously need a steady income for my growing family.
I love my writing and my mummy mission reviews website but it doesnt put food on the table or money in the bank. (well not yet anyway).

I feel so disheartend but i feel its the only way i can go, unless someone out there wants to give me a paid writing job.

Chin up chick and i wish you all the love and luck in the world.

    Xxxxx

    • That is it, THATS HOW I FEEL!
Thank you I knew I wasn’t being silly, right so who is going to give us both a paid writing job then! Lets start a mission ha get it! (I know rubbish at jokes)
Wishing you all the luck as well xx

  • Good luck with your interview hun.

Like the others have said, you’re not swallowing your dreams by going for a job. The job would be there to help you financially.

You can still follow your dreams or writing and scrapbooking (which are fab dreams by the way) with the added bonus of not letting your finances get you down.

    Good luck xxx

    • Thank you I think that I am just being a little silly about the whole thing at the moment and am not sure why. See how it goes tomorrow xx

  • Good luck x 1000!! If it’s meant to be it will be! AT least it is only part time so you will still have a bit of time to keep planning things, plus more ££££ – think of that!!

We love comments so please leave some
