My Name Is Bob…
My name is Bob and I am nearly two years old!

I spent my first fourteen weeks in Pets at Home, and no one wanted to buy me. It wasn’t until after Christmas last year that Baba came into the store and brought me with his Christmas money from Pops.
I came home that day and was put into a huge house, that I loved from first sight. I was feed far too much food, and allowed out in my ball and had a whale of a time.
I even had Baba’s cousins hamster to stay while they all went on holiday, Rocky. He was a little boring in fact, all he did was sleep, and sit in his ball he didn’t run around the room like me. He obviously wasn’t used to Baba’s habits either, as I know that he likes to see me in the daytime, so I wake up regularly to see him as he likes it. Rocky just slept all day.
I have always been a good hamster really, I have only bitten Mr L once, and Baba has even learnt how to pick me up now and I let him. He gets me out of cage and then holds me before giving me a monkey nut and putting me back in his house! He even tried to scare his Mummy’s Nanny on Saturday when she was babysitting him and got me out, it was quite funny.
Last night Mr L gave me some monkey nuts and then him and Kerry went off to bed. I ate my monkey nuts and had a little play and then had a bit of a sleep.
This morning Mr L got up early like he always does before work and he opened up the house again and gave me another monkey nut. Then Mr L’s lift turned up, he was running around trying to sort out Tito as he wouldn’t go back to his bed and he left the house and left my house door open.
Well what is a hamster to do?
I did think about it a little while, but it didn’t take long I admit. The door was wide open obviously I was going to take the opportunity and I did it there and then without one more look back.
I don’t know quite how I got out but I made a giant leap and quickly I was under the sofa.
It was quite interesting under the sofa, there was a few things to play with and then I found the telephone cable. That was great fun I chewed it, moved along and chewed it again, and nibbled a bit more, and then I got through the whole cable and had two bits to play with that was great fun. It was really quiet you see, Kerry and Baba were still sleeping and Tito was up in his bed, so it was very easy to play and not be noticed. But I did get a bit bored.
I got to the other end of the sofa and had a quick check and it was still really quiet so I decided to keep heading out. The kitchen has always been a little interesting it is big you see and there are lots of tiny little spaces. I quickly got behind the fridge and freezer I did think about staying there, but it was a little noisy and it kept making horrible noises. So I carried on moving and ended up under the kitchen cupboards, but I wasn’t really sure how to get back out. So I was a little stuck.
But the worst thing was that there was no where really warm for me to hide to go to sleep so I just sat there all day. I could hear Kerry and Baba trying to find me, but they weren’t looking in the right place and so I just had to wait.
Eventually Mr L came home from work and I heard him pull out the fridge and freezer but I couldn’t work out how to get back there. He then opened up the board under the kitchen cupboard and saw me sitting there. I was a little tired I have to admit. I usually am asleep all day with only little wake up moments.
I was a little scared though it took a while for Mr L to finally catch me. But once he did I was happy to be back in my home. But I have to admit I am very tired now, and I think I will just have a long sleep now before Baba is trying to get me out again. It has been an interesting day, but very tiring I have to admit.

I’m so glad Mr L found you! The thought of a sad Baba makes me sad! 🙁
Thank you sad Baba is not good xx
