Meal Planning Monday 16/11/2020

I have mentioned that we are having a bit of a Slimming World break, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t trying to be conscious of what we are eating each day.

Mr L is taking soup and bread to week for lunch and I am having porridge and salads for lunch and in the evening we may not always be following Slimming World meals but we are trying to eat some varied meals each night.

This week we have our meals sorted and for the first time in forever I have actually written them down.

Our meals for this week are…

MONDAY: We had a toad in the hole with mash and baked beans this evening one that is a favourite in the house for everyone, except Boo! But he is a whole other issue when it comes to food, our fusspot is still just as fussy!

TUESDAY: We have Gammon Steaks, Wedges and roasted veg tomorrow.

WEDNESDAY: It will be a beef risotto, with some vegetables included. We haven’t had a risotto for a long time it used to be the only rice that Boo would eat so will be interesting to see what he thinks of it this winter!

THURSDAY: It is Cottage Pie, which will be loaded with vegetables, and something that we all love but can be a bit hit and miss with Boo, (seeing a theme here)

FRIDAY: It will be Chicken Stir fry loaded with veg and the chicken and noodles are always a hit for Boo, something that he really does love.

SATURDAY: We have some steaks we got from a local butcher as a bundle deal, so tonight will be steak, large mushrooms, homemade chips and corn on the cob night. This is definitely a hit in our house and something that we all like.

SUNDAY: It is Chicken Roast day, we haven’t had a roast for quite a while and we should have been heading to a hotel for dinner just Mr L and I for his birthday next week, but that has been squashed with this lockdown 2.0 so instead we will be doing a roast for the whole family, and it will be with all the trimmings. I may even get some sprouts and pigs in blankets this week to make it a gorgeously big roast.

I am hoping that if I have the meals written down this week, we will actually stick to them rather than debating what we want to eat for the whole evening and then just eat rubbish instead.

I am hoping we will stick to it, and it will stop everyone moaning about what we are eating.

I am also hoping that it will mean that making dinner wont be such a chore as it is already written down and planned and we know what is happening when!

So that is our meal plan for this week, if you are struggling then feel happy to steal it, if you are meal planning as well then please do let me know what your plan is this week too it will be great to get some inspiration from others!
