Making Decisions
It has been a few days making decisions, and one thing that I have noticed is people writing about what they are going to do, or not do for lent. I personally have never done lent, but it has got me thinking, that I do need to change some things in our house.
I have lots of things going on I love being busy, but most of the time if I am totally honest I am busy being totally unproductive as nothing ever really gets done. And it just isn’t working any more.
I am a wife.
A mum.
A homeowner.
A business owner.
A crafter.
A blogger.
And a student, with a photography course, and a writing course to get finished.
None are getting the attention that they deserve.
So things need to change.
It was actually Jennie from Edspire that gave me the idea, after I saw her post on Facebook. She is giving up social media for lent between the hours of 8-8.
It made me think.
Social media takes up a lot of my time, I have plans to do things and actually spend most of the time pottering about and being totally unproductive, and I think I could really do better.
But I can’t give up social media completely and it really is something that I have considered if I am totally honest with you. But is not something that is possibly especially when you are trying to run a business.
So instead I am going to follow a similar idea to Jennie.
From 8.30am until 8.00pm I am going to be off of social media. I will still be appearing as I will be scheduling posts, but I won’t be answering or looking at my social media channels until the evening.
I want a break from it, I want to read, craft, blog, write, photograph and get things organised.
I want to sort my ideas from my thoughts, sort my house, declutter and destress.
Ready to take on the world.
For now I am tired, tired of trying to do too many things in such a little time. Tired of constantly fighting against the time I so long for with Baba and Boo and Mr to work.
Tired of never get the things I want done, done.
And generally just tired.
So I am going to try this theory see if it makes me more productive see if more things get done and if I can somehow regain some authority and control of what and when I am doing things.
