It’s All About The Family

In the past few weeks we have made more and more of an effort to do things as a family. Not that we didn’t anyway but we really have tried to be there more for Baba, as we had a long time not being there. We are not over it all, we still have uncertainties, and issues that we will have to deal with in the future. None of us know how we will deal with it and Baba is three years old.

It is such a young tiny age to take all of these events in. He is being a star but we are trying to not just sit in and do nothing, we are trying to create good memories and do lots of nice things. Almost enjoy the simple things in life for a while, let him see all the fun and beautiful things around him and take them in and grow up with them all.

This weekend we decided that Friday would be our family day. We needed one and we had to have one after Thursdays events. When we woke and the weather was nice we knew to take full advantage of the day. We wanted to go up to Rhianna’s garden and see all the flowers, and Baba wanted to take Tito up there to see Rhianna’s garden, so we set off for a nice long walk rather than just drive up there.

Mr L decided at the last moment to take a little football to let Baba and him have a play around when were at the park. Mr L has tried to play football with Baba in the past and he hasn’t ever really been interested. However today was completely different.

He was really into it, and played with Mr L for ages, kicking the ball around with his Daddy and trying to get all of the goals, instead of his Daddy. He was running from one end to the other laughing and having a great time with his Daddy.

Now I don’t pretend to know a lot about football, but I do think that Baba has a pretty good kick on him for a three-year old and he seemed to be pretty impressive at aiming for the goal. But I am bias, but he did seem to love it though. I think it is a thing him and Mr L will be doing more off in the future.

Once we left the football park we walked through the woods giving Tito a good walk for the day.

We went to Rhianna’s garden and spent some time sorting out a few flowers and putting some little bits and pieces on there for her, before Baba and Mr L went to play in the park.

They had a great time in there and I was happy to sit outside with Tito and let the boys play together for a while. Baba loves having his Daddy around to do things like the park, he can after all swing him higher, lift him higher and make the seesaw go higher. He is much better fun than Mummy.

They had a good play for about 20 minutes and then we decided to walk home with Tito, have some lunch and a little chill out in the garden before taking Baba up to his Nannies on his bike. This was going to be a first for Baba, he has never been on a bike with peddles before, still with stabilisers of course. But it was still a massive step up from his Y Bike, (which is a make of balance bike). We weren’t sure whether he would like it but Baba seemed very happy to give it a go.

Once we got home the weather was so nice that we all went out in the garden and chilled out. Baba got to have a run around with Stewie the rabbit, we all got a sit down and Tito got a lay down.

We had to give the bike a bit of a wash down, as it has not been used for a few years and has been sat in our shed. But it didn’t matter as it dried off very quickly. As soon as we all finished our lunch Baba was raring to go and wanted to get on his bike.

He found it very hard at first and couldn’t really get what he had to do. But with a little bit of back holding and pushing of Daddy, Baba started to move off up the road.

It wasn’t long before Baba was off on his own, peddling away as fast as his little legs will take him and Mr L was behind him as his steering really isn’t that great. But Baba loved it and was laughing and shouting all the time he was on the bike. It was so nice to see and we all enjoyed it so much.

All in all today was a fantastic day, concentrating on the family and making some great life long memories. After all isn’t that what family is all about?
