Hobbies, Hobbies, Hobbies

Over the holiday we had a bit of a discussion about hobbies in our house.

BB and I have a few hobbies to be honest.

He has his scouts, his animals, computers and karate.

I have my crafting, which is huge as it is scrapbooking, knitting, sewing, drawing, and reading.

Even Boo plays football and is just about to start his scouting journey, starting Beavers this week.

But Mr L doesn’t have anything.

He used to play football, he used to play a lot of computer games. He generally plays the boys games now, and doesn’t really have any of his own games anymore.

But he doesn’t really have any hobbies.

Years ago he used to play darts, and ages ago he got brought a dartboard for his birthday to be able to still play darts at home, but he has never put it up.

This weekend he put it up.

He found his darts and he has been playing in the evenings when the boys are chilling and I am busy doing one of my hobbies.

He looks like he is really enjoying doing something just for him.

Something that no one else is involved in.

And something that he can just get on with and do himself.

Everyone should have a hobby, it’s important that we all do something just for ourselves once in a while.

Its important for our own mentality.
