Granola Breakfast
Six months ago if you had told me I would love a Granola breakfast every morning, I would have pulled a yuck face at you and walked away.
Instead here I am absolutely loving Granola every morning, with some raspberries, strawberries and a Muller light yoghurt (which I switch around).
I love cereals, and could eat them any time of the day. I have been know to have Weetabix for lunch, and Coco pops for supper before, and spent most of my uni life eating Frosties straight out of the box.
I love them all, I love milk, always have and love Krave, Frosties, Rice Crispies you name it most cereals I will eat.
But the ones I love are full of sugar, full of rubbish and aren’t that good for you.
Or I would cover them in sugar.
It is something I have struggled with since starting Slimming World, Weetabix are not right with yoghurt, fruit or skimmed milk, I can not eat them unless they are covered in Semi Skimmed milk and have sugar on. Porridge needs sugar fruit doesn’t do it and I actually hate Shreddies.
But breakfast is the one meal of the day I am super hungry and is the meal I enjoy the most.
And I am not a cooked breakfast girl, I like that kind of stuff for lunch.
When I started Slimming World I first tried Overnight Oats and I do really love them!
But they are not really a summer breakfast, and in the holidays I have forgot to make them of an evening and then been left with no breakfast.
Mr L actually won the Granula for being Slimmer of the Week a while ago, and it did just sit there, until one of the above mornings when I really wanted breakfast but had forgotten my overnight oats.
I had seen people posting about this with fruit and yoghurt and thought I would give it a go and it is lovely.
It is just what I need in the morning for my cereal fix, and it is a Healthy Extra so no syns first thing and is very filling and I can bulk it out with speed fruits too so getting a great food first thing in the day!
Between this and Overnight Oats I think I have cracked breakfast for a while, especially the school run mornings!
Now if I could find a decent pancake recipe I would be happy!!
