Goodbye 2020 Hello 2021

It has finally happened.

2020 has gone and 2021 is finally here.

It was a year that lasted forever wasn’t it! One that the majority of us wanted to see the back off.

One that we don’t want to ever mention again, but will be talked about forever I think.

I am not going to do a round up of the year, as we didn’t do a lot.

But the things we did do we loved.

We had extra time at home, time that we wouldn’t have normally had.

We found places close to home, that we didn’t even realise were there.

We spent quality time together.

We did arts and crafts.

We played board games.

We baked.

We read.

We watched movies.

And despite all of it we laughed.

We had fun.

We enjoyed our company.

And when we were allowed to see people we valued every second.

We loved our time with our extended families, we loved the time with our friends.

We valued so many things that have just been the norm forever.

We valued our relationships.

It was not the year we wanted.

It was not the year any of us imagined.

It was a year that took away so many things from people.

It was a year that none of us understood.

And still don’t.

It was a year that was so hard for so many people, for so many different reasons, in so many different ways.

And it still is.

But for us as a family, there were some lovely moments in it too.
