Garden Revamp!

We decided to change our garden, yet again, I think every year we decide to change our garden and give it a revamp. Although this year was a little different. In past years we have tried to lay grass and getting Buddy proved the death of our grass.

Buddy is a massive digger of grass, every time he wees or poos he scratches the grass out, so basically our grass area ended up being a complete pile of mud!

We also had two runs and two hutches in the garden but no longer needed that many, both the guinea pigs have passed on and the rabbit now lives mainly indoors, although he still uses the small run in the garden outside, so we had a lot more space than before.

Mr L made a vegetable patch a while ago so we had the rest of the garden to play with.

The first job was to rip out the broken hutch and run, and to get rid of all the rubbish and level out the earth and getting rid of the last remaining bits of the grass. After Mr L had done all of this he then laid out a plastic covering, to stop further weeds and grass from regrowing as we had decided to cover the whole garden with gravel.

After Mr L started on this he started on our new path, from the back door down to the vegetable patch.

Once the path was laid Baba and Mr L started laying the gravel on the rest of the garden. Baba was so eager to help that he was straight outside with a broom to help his daddy make his new garden.

It took a lot of gravel to cover the whole area. But within a couple of days all the area was covered and our new garden was completed. We have a lot of rubbish to clear and will need to hire a skip and when the flowers have finished flowering, we will repot them into newer pots. That are nicer than the old ones we currently have but at long last the dogs have somewhere to lay down and Baba has somewhere to play and we have an area to get a table and chairs in at long last!

But the best thing is that we are all at last enjoying are garden. It’s only taken 6 years after all!
