Fruit Picking
I have been a little quiet this Summer Holiday, but that has mainly been because Baba and I have been doing lots and lots of things we have been making this summer special and he has a list of firsts that he has done these last couple of weeks. It has been great fun! But has meant that blogging and work has been put aside, but that is why we decided I would work from home in the first place, to be able to do these things so the plan is working!
We have a pick your own near our house, and we drive past it regularly, we have to drive past it to go to my sisters and I regularly think about taking Baba there but to be honest we have never got around to it. This summer I decided it would be different.

There are loads of things to pick there, a massive selection of fruit, and vegetables so we were spoilt for choice, but I knew that it would be all about the fruit.
We took my mother as well, so that her and Baba could do some fruit picking together and they loved it.

As soon as we arrived they were both hands in looking for their fruit, we started with the black currants and to be honest I don’t know much about these so I was glad to have mum giving Baba tips on whether they were ready to pick or not.

I thought that Baba may spend all of his time eating the fruit, but to be honest he was actually really good. He was so fascinated about picking fruit that he seemed to completely forget that he could eat them.

He got really involved picking the strawberries and needed no guidance on what was a good or bad strawberry. He eats so many of them he is a strawberry pro.

However the best fruit for picking was the raspberries they were so ripe and looked so yummy. We got lots and lots of them before we left.
We ended up with a huge pile.

And for just over £3.00 I think we did very well, needless to say the strawberries were all gone by the next day and the blueberries and raspberries didn’t last much longer.
It was a totally success and something that we will defiantly be doing again in the future. Next trip needs to be with Mr L though as he has to see how like a farmer Baba really is!
