Football, Football, Football
It seems we have someone who loves a bit of football in the house.
When Mr L and I first got together he always played football and had done a lot since he was younger. He stopped as he worked away and has never really picked it up since then. But he has always loved football.
Big Bro is not into football, he played it a little at primary as an afterschool club but it is really not his thing. He has been to watch a match, but even just watching it isn’t his thing.
As it really isn’t his thing we have never really pushed it with Boo either if I am honest.
But he asked within his first year at school if he could play football as an afterschool club, then he asked again in year one and has asked again now he is in year two.
He loves it and for the last year of so he has been asking if he can play for the local under eights football team.

This last week we finally got it organised for him and off he went to train with the under eights.
He loved it, he loved the training and he was really excited when they played a little game at the end of the training.
He was super excited when he left the training and can’t wait to go back to more training this week, although I think getting used to the outside weather will take a little longer, as he definitely seems to be a fair weather player, rather than joyous at playing in the cold windy weather.
Lets hope that his love for football while override the bad weather. I am not sure if it will help me having to watch him on the sidelines, I need some super warm clothes, and lots of coffee to be able to keep sitting and watching I think.
But it currently seems that hubbies love for football has moved down to at least one of the boys at long last and our lives will now involve football training and possibly matches in the future!

Standing on the touchline watching our younger son playing for under8s through to under11s: some of my best moments of his childhood. Go for it!
We will be embracing it whatever the weather
