First Book of 2020 Read – The Testaments

This year as I am planning on reading at least 12 books this year I thought I would write what I thought of the books on the blog, these are just my personal opinions but I hope you like the posts.

I wanted to read The Testaments from the moment I heard it was coming out.

I loved The Handmaid’s Tale, and I loved the series but there was so much more to the story and the Testaments finishes of the story brilliantly.

It is written from the perspective of three people and actually when I first realised I thought it would be difficult to follow however it really isnt. It is very simple to follow and flows really nicely.

I did guess bits of the story before they were revealed in the book, but it didn’t make it a disappointment if anything it made me want to read it more to see if I was right. And when I was I really didn’t want to put it down.

I found getting into The Handmaids Tale quite hard, it took me a good few chapters but once I was in to it I loved it. The Testaments was completely different as soon as I picked it up I was into it and I really enjoyed it from start to finish.

The end of the book picks up the pace and this bit I really enjoyed and didn’t want to stop reading I just wanted to get to the end.

And the ending was fab.

If you enjoyed The Handmaids Tale you will enjoy this and it really is a book that you should read because it finishes of the story brilliantly!

You can buy The Testaments: WINNER OF THE BOOKER PRIZE 2019 from lots of different places I was actually given this as a Christmas gift from my boys but here is a link to buy it from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1784742325/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_UcHgEbB4887PM
