Easter Holidays
It is the start of the Easter Holidays in our house, and they are very unique this time, mainly because we are burying our daughter in the middle of them. Since Rhianna has died Baba has got away with a lot, we have just done what we can to get through the days to be honest but it is beginning to show.
The poor boy has been passed from pillar to post the last couple of weeks, staying at his Nannies more times than ours at times and he has done remarkable well. He has been a complete and utter star actually, coping with everything that has been thrown at him in his own 3-year-old way. Neither Mr L or I could be prouder of him to be honest.
But little things have started to show, and it may be just because he is three and a half, I may be over reacting and it has nothing to do with the last few weeks, but regardless it needs to be sorted anyway.
Little things have been happening in the past few weeks, just an odd thing here and there, however yesterday he was unbearable. We are getting lots of attitude, lots of hitting and lots of screaming and shouting. At everything and everyone, I think some of it is just his age, but I also think some of it is attention, and some of it is not understanding. Neither Mr L or I understand what has happened, and can’t deal with it so why we expect a three-year old to get it in his little head is beyond me to be honest. He has taken on a lot these past few weeks but now I think he needs a little attention himself.
So this holiday I have decided I am off work anyway because of the previous weeks events, and Scrapbookerry will remain unopened until after the holidays. I could spend the next two weeks sorting and tidying the house, and my god it does need it, but as someone said to be yesterday the mess will still be there in days to come. We can work around it, our sons well-being is more important than anything else.
Instead of all of these things, Baba and I are going to chill, we have five days with Mr L starting on Thursday and I think we all need some us time. Thursday is going to be hard for us all, so Baba needs to be looked after in this time. So we are going to have fun these two weeks.
I have a couple of plans for the next two weeks, I want to walk the dog lots, get both him and Baba out in the open. I want to sort out his craft stuff get things made, let him play in the garden and chill with his animals. I am even looking at doing a little geocatching possibly with Baba as I think that he may enjoy something like that but I do need to research that a little bit more as I am not 100% sure what it involves. I also want to do a little studying, so that last night that a brilliant idea would be to get Baba involved in writing a story with me. I have this idea that he can give me some ideas to get the story started, I am not sure how it will work but it is something we can do together on a rainy day I am sure!
So we have a few plans, I am hoping that a bit of one to one, will maybe sort some of the attitude, the screaming, shouting and hitting. I want to get past all of that and have our nice boy back again. So we are going back to the basics these next couple of weeks as they say!

Awww bless baba. Must be tough to get his little head around. I’m sure he’ll love to spend lots of time with his mummy and daddy and you will get through this as a family. Xxx
Thank you we will get there xx
Hi Kerry I think that is a good idea. As you say it will be a combination of upset, things being upside down for him and his age. He is a good boy and he will soon bounce back xxxx
I do think it is a combination of all of the above as well Carol it is a lot for him to take in that is certain xx
Best of luck Kez, they sound like good plans! We will be thinking of you at the end of the week
Thank you Emma, lets hope they go that way xx
Sounds like you have a lovely two weeks planned. I know Thursday is going to be incredibly hard and I wish I could say or do something to help. I will be thinking of you. Hugs xx
Thank you Susan that means a lot xx
I’m sure spending some time together will do you all the world of good, its so easy to neglect the simple little things when something happens that shakes your world, and its always the simple things like walking the dog and having a snuggle whilst telling stories that make such huge difference in your life. Thinking of you all as its not easy xxx
Yes that is what I am hoping, thank you xx
