Cakes, Cakes And More Cakes

When we went to Isle of Wight we came home to this lovely package from Play Merrily that Baba had won!

Baba loves to bake, he loves to cook in general but baking is something that he really loves to do. I have to admit that I love baking with him, we really do have loads of fun, and we manage to do loads of learning.

He already knows that the amount of eggs you put into a cake mixture is half of the rest of the mixture, he may not always get what that number is but he knows it is half. He is getting fab at checking at the scales and he really loves measuring out everything and adding it all to the mixture.

He is also getting pretty good at folding in the mixture rather than frantically mixing it and spreading it all over the kitchen like he used to. So we are getting progress.

I was super excited to see this in the hallway waiting for us, and knew that Baba would be as well, and it went amazingly well with his mixing kit that we got sent from Disney in my Mother’s Day basket.

It didn’t take long for Baba to see this and want to make cakes so we quickly got too it and made some fairy cakes. Baba had a fantastic time and did really well at listening to get all the cakes made.

It wasn’t long before we had a super stash of cakes sitting waiting to cool down.

The best thing I didn’t even burn them in the oven so a complete and utter success.

Since these cakes we have made many more with this little kit from Play Merrily, and biscuits with the shapes. Baba really loves it so thank you it was a great prize for him to win and won that will be used for a long time yet!
