Bullet Journalling
Anyone that knows me, knows that I love my Filofax, I have written about it before on the blog, I had one when I was younger, it broke and I was so excited when a couple of years ago Mr L brought me a gorgeous orange one for my birthday.
I reinvented it a couple of years ago designing my own sections and making it work for me and I loved it.
At the end of last year I wasn’t happy as I couldn’t find a diary insert that I liked, one that would work for me.
I never found one so I made my own I thought it would work for me.

In a way it has, but in a way it hasn’t the spaces for each day aren’t big enough and I really do love my lined paper. As it isn’t working completely for me, I am not using it as much as I should, and things are getting forgotten.
I have also ended up with a mess at the back of the Filofax that used to be so nicely sorted into sections.

They now have loose bits of paper in them, and nothing seems to be that organised.
It is no longer a Filofax I love and this upsets me dearly.
I love to be organised and I love to write lists, and I love my Filofax, and none of them are currently happening!
So imagine my excitement when I saw Nickie from I Am Typecast tweeting about Bullet Journal’s obviously I was completely fascinated and instantly clicked the link to her post about merging Bullet Journalling and her Filofax.
It was like she was speaking to me and I knew instantly this is what I needed to make my love for my Filofax grow again, and for me to get organised it was just flipping perfect!
I knew that I had to get started with Bullet Journalling, I headed over to the site, watched the video a lot, read the site, headed over to I Am Typecast, read the blogs, watched the videos, watched the Google+ Hangout, and went and found myself a notebook.
Even though I want to merge this into my Filofax, I decided at first to get used to the concept of Bullet Journalling, I wanted to try it in its own book at first. And that was how my Bullet Journal formed.

Currently this has been put into a big A4 book, for a few reasons.
- I have a massive bag, I have a newborn baby, size really doesn’t matter when it comes to carrying the book around.
- I wanted to have as much space as possible for the first couple of months, before I nail this system and can move it into my Filofax.
- I am thinking in the back of my head this could be a great idea for a home journal, instead of a calendar and if I decided to do that then I would need this size book. (That is something I will develop at a later date).
So today I sat down and went through the system and wrote out my plans and ideas, and places that I have to be (there are no pictures of this as it is all personal). I have to say on the first day I love it, I love lists, I love writing things down, and I love checking of boxes and it is so satisfying.
I have decided I am using this book until at least September, then I hopefully will merge to my Filofax if I can get to grips with it and like it. But until then this book is my book to practice in and to make the perfect Bullet Journal for me!

Have you started a Bullet Journal? How are you finding it? Do you have any tips?

I am intending to do this.
It is brilliant and there is nothing quite so satisfying as checking off a box xx
Love this post and love that you’re loving bullet journalling. All the love 🙂
