Brighton It Isn’t So Bad!

Actually Brighton is truly lovely and I have always held a soft spot for the place. It is on my list of places I would love to live in. I adore the place and always have, although yesterday it was not planned that we were going there.

We were off to Butlins, and I think Mr L and I were more excited about that. However when we arrived we got told that it was an adults only weekend, so Baba wasn’t allowed in. Panic set in, we were at Butlins car park and knew that we couldn’t go home. We had to do something and Baba was asking for the beach for so we decided that Brighton was a good bet!

You know what it was a very good bet, we got there and it was a little over cast and was trying to rain. But after a while the sun came out and we had an amazing day down there.

We had lunch in the lanes,

I haven’t been here for years and forget how you can totally get lost in where you are when you are walking around the lanes.

Baba loved every moment of the lanes. He marched off and was very happy.

We had a little look around the shops and found a very famous chocolate shop. Baba was a little amazed…

We then went off the the beach and Baba had a fantastic time. He got to pick up some stones, saw lots of boats, in and out of the water and got his picture taken with a lobster. Just being free and being able to run made him happy. He is always at his happiest on the beach as is Mr L and I.

Mr L loved the fresh air and I loved all the deckchairs! Have a little thing about chairs.

We gradually walked from the beach across and up to the pier. Baba has never been before so it was all bit daunting, but he loved it. He loved the arcades looking over the piers edge and watching the fast boats. He even got to see the birds fighting over some food.

We all came home refreshed, but tired, and happy.

And doesn’t Brighton look gorgeous on a sunny day!
