Boo’s Year Check
Yesterday Boo had his yearly check.
It is something I haven’t been looking forward to for ages, mainly because I hate that babies have to do things by a specific time.
I like my children to do things in their own time.
But also because I was a little worried.
It was a silly thing, but Boo doesn’t clap.
It doesn’t matter how many times we play games that involve clapping, or sing songs that involve clapping he just looks at us like we are complete nutters and then crawls away. I was concerned that they were going to ask about it, and were going to pick up that he doesn’t clap.
I didn’t need to worry.
He was on top of form yesterday at his review. He was babbling and crawling around and cruising around the furniture.
Even though I told them he wasn’t clapping, he clapped two bricks together, he found the hidden rattle, he watched the ball of wool falling from the table and used his pincher grasp. Basically he did everything that he was asked to do including the clapping action that he hasn’t ever done before.
He weighed in perfectly at 24lbs 12oz and his height was measured at 73cms.
He basically did perfectly and everything that he needed to do he did. She was happy that he was in a nice routine at home, and said he was a very happy cheerful little boy.
