Beach Time

Baba hasn’t been to the beach much, I know shocking as we live so near it. He walks along the promenades but doesn’t go onto the actual beach. Today that changed.

We went to the beach with my sister, her two children and my mum and Baba had a ball. After he first tentatively walked on the beach we couldn’t get him off it. He was in the water, on the body board, playing with the sand, running and having a great time. I think the beach is a place we need to visit more often. It is a place that we can all go including Tito and we can all just be with no worries and stresses about what we are doing. A place that we can all escape to and have fun.

Your little shoes on the beach for the first time, left unwanted, not to be used. Tossed aside for the great feeling of the sand between your toes, and your feet sinking underneath you.

The clouds that kept threatening to rain on us!

The sun that won the weather battle! We are very thank full for that!

Your first footprints in the sand. A picture that will change from year to year, but will always bring a smile to your mummy and daddy’s face!

You discovered the sea, and you loved it. You just kept walking and running to it like a fish that had found its home. We had to keep pulling you back as you can’t yet swim, and then we found this little non deep stream in the sand. You played in here for hours just splashing and squatting. It was so much fun!

You kept getting your feet stuck, as they would sink while you were standing in one place. You didn’t care, you would bend over and get yourself back up, and move on.

And then you discovered the sand!

You sat for ages playing with it…

And throwing it! Isn’t that what you are supposed to do at two! You had a great time and if that wasn’t enough…

You even had time to Body Board!

It was a lovely day, a day of exploration, laughter and fun and I loved watching every magical moment of it.
