Airplanes, Fun and Aeroplanes!

Baba loves airplanes always have they are a little obsession of his. Although he calls them “aeroplanes.” Whenever one flies overhead, he shouts and rushes out to the garden to try to see it. It brings him great joy and he never ever bores of it.

So when his grandparents saw that the Eastbourne Air Show was on the other weekend they wanted to take him, so we said we would go too. What a treat we were in for!

When we arrived we parked at the Park and Ride and walked to the sea front, managing to get onto the pier. It was really busy but we found a nice spot, once Baba had stopped looking at the sea from the pier, that was very interesting in its own right! We started to look for the planes! And what a lot of planes there were!

Baba watched the planes with his daddy. I thought that he may have been scared but he loved everything about it. He wasn’t bothered by the noise or the crowds, though there were lots of children with earmuffs on and they are a good idea. We did think about them but couldn’t find any in time! But he would not have worn them anyway.

He watched the planes with Granddad as well!

And he loved every minute of it. Squealing with delight and pointing and looking at us all to see the planes!

We got to see some fantastic shows, including the wing walkers!

This something I would love to do, it looks so much fun…

Look at them just standing on top of the plane.

The planes flew up and down, spun round and went straight over our heads, Baba must have said “wow” and “aeroplane” a billion times at the event. He had such a good time, and had a constant smile on his face. It was such a joy to watch. He was so excited that he couldn’t even sit still long enough to eat his picnic, so he didn’t eat till the show finished it was just too much! We have already discussed going next year!
