Bad Day, Good Day
Yesterday was a split day, one of the worst mornings for a long time, and then a fantastic afternoon. It all started as soon as Baba woke up yesterday, the first tantrum was about 6am! All over a nappy, and that’s how continued. All Baba seemed to do was shout, scream, hit out and throw things. He was not happy about anything, nothing made him happy, everything made him angry.
It was a complete and utter nightmare for the whole morning! I then decided that he really really needed to sleep so put him down to bed and started to read a story to him.
The first half of the book, he screamed, oh did he scream that he didn’t want to go to sleep he wasn’t tired. He kicked and he fought, and I ignored him. I laid on his bed and carried on reading, he calmed himself down and laid down, before the end of the book he was fast asleep and snoring!
It is amazing the difference a couple of hours can make, he slept for two and a half hours and he woke like a different child. The demon had disappeared and the normal Baba that we all know and love had returned! It was obviously what he needed and the rest of a day was a complete and utter joy.
Baba had his cousin come to stay and they were fantastic in McDonalds as their treat for tea. They had great fun just being boys and playing, being loud and spending time together. It was like the morning never ever happened!

They are such a nightmare when they’re tired at this age aren’t they? I’m glad he had a sleep and that you survived your day
Such a nightmare, I have to say really test the boundaries when they are tired! xx
