Back To Work, Back To Normality
As normal as it can ever be I suppose.
Last week I decided that I had to get back to work, unfortunately we are not in a fantastic position financially and we need both of us to be making some money. With both of us being self-employed, we could not survive if I took any more time off. Although I didn’t really want to go back to work, I knew that I had to.
To be honest after one day I knew that I was ready and I was pleased to be back. The advantage of running your own business is that I love what I do. So I was really pleased to be back.
I hadn’t sat in the craft room for a long long time, and that was a thing I realised I really had missed as soon as I stepped in it and started to craft. Last week I concentrated on crafting and trying to come back gently. That lasted all of a week to be honest. By the weekend I had a list a mile long of things that I wanted and things that had to be done pretty quickly.
Over the weekend I actually worked tirelessly and am pleased to say that in one week of being back I have completed things that have been on “that list” for months and months, but with being so poorly while pregnant with Rhianna and everything else that happened they have never been done. Work has started on the website, the Facebook page for Scrapbookerry is up and running and all up to date, I have finally sorted my WowThankYou store, my pinterest is sorted for business and personal use and am getting there with blogging for the business, as well as making new products too.
This week I have gone back to Creative Connections as well, as we start to prepare for the June CRAFTfest, I am really looking forward to this CRAFTfest, and last night sat down and sorted out all the stock that I have and all the things that I have to make. Working out the days I had to make things and how much time I had on all the things that I wanted to make. It means that my diary has become pretty full for the next few weeks but it is nice to be so far in the swing of things and get sorted.
I am excited to be back at work, and excited to be planning and working on Scrapbookerry. There are some exciting things happening and I can’t wait to see them unfolding over the next few weeks.
