Baba’s Drawings and Writing
Baba loves to draw, I write about his love of drawing lots, and I love to encourage it.
I secretly love that he loves it as much as me, and I love that he is getting the same enthusiasm for letters as he has for pictures.
He constantly asks what does it say, what letter is this and asks how to draw them and I love that he is so eager to learn. So whenever he wants to do either of these we hugely encourage him.
Today when he asked to write ‘Nanny’ I sent him off to his art area to collect a pen and paper. We quickly discussed that he was going to go over my dots, and we sat at the table and wrote out Nanny. I was so impressed with how he wrote out Nanny and the concentration was serious.

He was so impressed that he did so well that his little face lit up and he smiled from ear to ear!
He quickly decided that he wanted to draw Nanny a picture and decided to draw Nanny and his cousin as monsters!

What a complete and utter star!

Go Baba! Love it, you’re so right to encourage it, I always encouraged Keagan to read, though he always preferred newspapers, Sport, I never stopped him, helped him to understand what he wanted to read and he learnt his numbers and colours by ‘reading’ sport, but it really helped him to read table and charts at school so every little thing is worth doing. Take care Zo xx
That is what I think as well, anything that will help him to learn is a good thing, and they are stuck in school for so long, if I can make him learn through fun then I will do xx
