And The Weekend Was…

Interesting to say the least!

It has been a bit hectic here, we have had good news, bad news, and OK news, we have had to take some matters into our own hands which should never have to be done and have been left a little hanging! But I think that we are getting there.

We have both been catching up with friends, and both had great evenings on Saturday night, with our friends. Mr L going down the pub and I had friends round, for a great catch up and a chill out! Which was lovely it is rare that we both do something on the same night, but Baba is now getting to the point that he will sleep even if people are here. So it enables one of us to have friends round while the other is out! Meaning we all get to see friends which is fab!

We are still moving the study out and the craft room in! Mainly because my back has gone and Mr L has stuffed his leg, so it all went pear shaped really and yesterday nothing was done anywhere as we were both in so much pain. However instead of just sitting and moaning, sorting out the study I had found my family history stuff that I started in 2008.

It is a hobby of mine that I dip in and out off. I have discovered a lot about my dad’s family going back to the 17th century although my mums has been somewhat problematic. But I have been determined to continue regardless, and I have to say I did forget how addictive it actually is! And it is very addictive. After four hours of continuous work last night, I did manage to go back a couple more generations on my mums side, and have found some useful resources. It is something I wish I could actually spend more and more time on, and something that is on my 101 Things in 1001 Days, (more about this list later on) so I was pleased that I picked it up again, and I wont be leaving it as long this time that is for sure as I seem to be finding more and more things out! I have never wanted to stop either as I have an album that has been sidelined for my family history so I am hoping that I shall have enough information in it all soon to be able to start adding some information!

So even though I didn’t complete the task I set out to do I need restart something that I stopped along time ago! So I feel good for that! What did you do this weekend?
