A Weekend At Home

This weekend we have mainly just been at home.

It is so rare for us to spend most of the weekend at home.

We generally go out for a few hours every day of the weekend.

But the weather has been foul and we have BB sleepover for his birthday with some of his friends and Boo had a sleepover at his Nan and Grandads and to be honest we have all been shattered.

So we decided to just chill and not do a lot.

And actually it was really lovely and I did manage to get a few bits done, even with very little sleep!

I managed to get on top of all the house work and all the washing which is always a bonus.

I finished my book.

And started book number 34 of 2019.

I would love to get to 50 books by the end of the year. I never thought it would be possible to read that amount of books in a year, but just changing my routine up a bit and enabling myself time to read has really made a huge difference to how many books I am managing to read this year.

I love that I am finally getting through the huge pile that is in our house.

I also managed to finish another square for my next knitted blanket.

This is something I haven’t picked up for a long time, I definitely don’t seem to knit in the summer. However once the weather changes I seem to naturally pick up my knitting and start where I left of the last winter. Which does mean I don’t knit that fast!

But I would definitely love to have this blanket finished this winter.

As well as all of that I managed to start my first diamond art kit.

And I finished it all yesterday.

This is something I have wanted to do for a long time.

I brought this kit about a month ago and haven’t had the time to sit and start it.

As we were all at home yesterday seemed a good time to have a go and I actually really enjoyed doing it.

It really is so simple and actually quite relaxing as well.

It is definitely something I will attempt to do again.

Unfortunately photos just don’t do it justice, but it looks really lovely in real life and I just need to find it a frame to put it up at home.

So even though we didn’t go out and do a lot the boys chilled which they totally needed and actually I did a few things that I have wanted to do for a while.

So all in all it was a really productive weekend!
