An Upcycling Project

For ages now I have wanted an old style telephone table, the one with the seat attached.

I have looked at them before, but have never been able to afford the prices of them.

Today while walking the dog, I found this table being given away.

It was to good an opportunity to miss.

I came home and told Mr L and we went straight back out to get it.

I have no space for it currently, but I have an idea.

I have a gorgeous Singer Sewing Machine that is old and I brought just to use for my scrapbooking. But it currently has no place to live. So I am thinking of upcycling this bench and making a space in my craft room for it and using it as a sewing bench and having a permanent space for the Singer machine. It has a drawer and space for sewing equipment and I can even store some fabric on the shelf as well.

It will be a perfect piece once it is all prettied up and made into a lovely unique piece.

A great project for after the wedding I think.
