A BBQ, Cameras, Painting, Flowers and Sleep!

We have had a busy but lovely weekend, and we have only been one place! It is amazing how busy you can be just in the house!

We completely sorted the house this weekend and had a great treat going over to Emma’s BBQ with lots of lovely other people. Emma and Baba completely bonded over a burger! Like you do.

We then discovered that Baba is following in his mothers footsteps…

Give the boy a camera and he will take a picture of everything in site. Emma said there were 30 photos on there at the beginning of the day, when we left after a couple of hours there were 250 odd! He likes cameras and taking pictures what can I say he already takes an interest in my scrapbooking stuff. I think we have a scrapbooker in the making!

We had a great time with Emma and the boys but were shattered by the time we got back, so we knew that we wouldn’t be doing a lot on Sunday. We had planned to finally sort the garden. After living here for four years we have never really had a decent garden it has always been a work in progress. But we have made great leaps this year, we have flowers that are growing…

Just don’t ask me what they are I have no clue, I just like the colours!

And we have a huge amount of colour, we have red and white and some strawberries! We are also eagerly awaiting the sunflower that is getting bigger and bigger every day!

The thing that was letting the garden down was the horrible shed and garden furniture and the broken decking. Mr L fixed the decking yesterday, he sorted the shed so we finally have space for all the toys so they are not scattered around the garden and can be put away and I painted the furniture and the shed…

I love the blue, the decking needs to be cleaned and stained, I am thinking a gorgeous dark colour to contrast with the light blue. We haven’t bothered before as we thought we were going to have to rip it all up, but we were lucky! So that is the job for this weekend, to clean, treat and stain and then the garden is finished. The next big step get a BBQ and then we can be outside all the time.

Yesterday we spent all day outside the first time since moving here, and we all had a fab day. Baba loved being outside, and I am so happy to be out there now with him, as I think there will be lots of playing and eating and fun outside. Baba is an outside boy that is for sure even though he was a little tired…

So all in all a great weekend. What did you do this weekend anything fun and exciting?
