The 13th Hour

I had a bit of a realisation over the weekend where I suddenly realised that I have spent near on all of the past 11months waiting for that 13th hour.

You know the one. The one that doesn’t and will never ever exist.

I have been waiting for the time to do this on the business. The time to write that. The time to study this. The time to loose this weight. The time to get fit. The time to sort the house. The time to chill and relax.

Over the weekend it suddenly hit me. The reason I have been feeling so low recently and the reason why nothing has actually been done because you know what that time is never going to happen.

There is never going to be that 13th hour it doesn’t exist, it is never going to exist. So what am I waiting for?

I could be sitting here waiting for that time forever. But do you know what I will end up being old and frail and still waiting for the time. I won’t have achieved anything, I will just be an old lady who just never had the time.

I made a decision at the weekend to not to be that person. I need to be happy with where I am now, and all those things I have been waiting for the time to do I need to MAKE THE TIME that is the difference. It isn’t going to land in my lap I need to find it I need to make it. I am the only person who ultimately controls what I do and don’t do no one else. And essentially there is no such thing as no time, there is however a huge case of wasting time.

Last night I sat down and wrote a list, and it was huge. I had to categorise it just for it to make sense. But all the things I have been putting off because I need some extra time I wrote down. Yes it was scary, but it was also what needed to be done. I know can see in black and white what needs to be done and there is nothing quite as satisfying as crossing of items on a list.

Things will take a while. But you know what they will be done as I am no longer waiting for the time, instead of being a thinker I am being a doer and finally acting on everything that has been put off for the last 11months. Wish me luck and watch this space!
