Temperature Blanket
Yesterday I picked up my temperature blanket for the first time since November I think.
I haven’t added to it for ages.
It has sat in its bag while we had everyone’s birthdays and Christmas.
But actually the last few days I have felt a bit meh about everything.
So after everyone went to bed, instead of catching up with everything that I don’t get to do in the day I decided that actually would stop and do something that I like to do.
Something that isn’t work, or stressful or a job. Whether it was Tropic, the blog, or stuff in the house I just wanted to do something that I like to do.
So I picked up my knitting and carried on with my temperature blanket.
I am really behind with my knitting and am actually still knitting the temperatures from July so I may be knitting this blanket for a while longer yet.
But it was really lovely to chill out and do nothing for a little while and just get on with something I love to do.
Some knitting.

It was definitely something my brain needed and I went to bed feeling a lot calmer last night, and have woken happier and calmer.
It has also meant we have got so much more done today. I have tidied the house, not yet hoovered as you know too many lessons going on. But everything else is tidy, the washing is done and I have managed to get some Tropic work done while the kids are working.
Which means I feel less stressed, which is always a bonus.
Hopefully I can keep working on the blanket as I have so many days to do and it will give me an escape in this madness that is lockdown 3.0.
What are you doing for a bit of relief from all of this?
