Slimming World Update Yet Again
So yesterday it was Slimming World weigh in and I haven’t updated on the blog for the last couple of weeks.
Last week I lost a pound, and this week I put on half a pound.
To be honest I was happy with that, I ate so much when we were away at the weekend, chocolate is my downfall and Easter is the hardest time of the year for me to control what I am eating. It really is a battle of my wills every time I go into a store as I could easily walk out of there with crème eggs or some type of Easter egg, so I decided I would just eat what I fancied at the weekend. I wasn’t awful but if the boys offered me chocolate I had some, I ate a packet of hobnobs, and I had pancakes for breakfast and maple syrup.
My thinking was that I was away and if you can’t be a little naughty then, when can you be.
So I really wasn’t that bothered that I had put on half a pound. In fact I was quite pleased, as I really expected it to be a lot more.
Today is a new week, and one that I really need to focus, Mr L does as well, even though he did really well yesterday and lost three pounds, he has been putting on for the last few weeks so he was really pleased to finally see a bigger loss as he is putting in a lot of effort at the gym and he definitely did need the loss this week.
For this week I have a plan, I have already done the food shop having gone yesterday, and the house is full of food and veg and fruit.
I am going to sit down today and write down the food plan that I have been doing in my head while tidying this morning, so that we all know what we are eating and when.
And I am going to cook.
I have got really slack the last couple of weeks with the kids being at home, and not really realising the time. Before we know it, it is tea time and I haven’t actually sorted anything for dinner and then it is a mad rush to make something quick and easy.
That needs to stop.
The other big change that I am making is that I am going back to actually writing down what I have eaten, I have got into a very bad habit of just thinking of the syns in my head and trying to keep a tally that way and frankly it doesn’t work at all.
It is a silly thing to do and has probably massively contributed to the weight loss one week and then the weight gain the next week. As I think I am within my syns, but I can’t actually guarantee it.
So I really need to keep on top of that.
I would like to incorporate a bit of exercise into my routine daily, I am not talking anything fancy as I don’t like exercise I try all the time, but it does not come naturally too me. I am not that great at it and I don’t like it. So I don’t stick to it at all!
But I need to do something even if it is walking every day and hitting my 10,000 steps that is my target on my fitbit. Which I always do when we are caravanning, just don’t seem to do otherwise.
So that is a goal I would like to achieve!
But lets see how changing a few things this week, affects our weigh in next week! And see if we can both really get back focused on Slimming World this week!
