Quality Time
These last few weeks have gone by in a whirlwind!
Everything seems to be moving so fast. Work is busy which is great and I am not complaining about that at all. I have had many orders this year and all have been custom-made ones, which is fantastic but does mean that I have to sit down and make them all from scratch. I love doing it and am so pleased that Scrapbookerry has finally taken off.
But it means that I am extra busy!
Baba has been ill, so I am constantly on a catch up at the moment, trying to finish of all the orders over the night-time. While also trying to do things with him in the day and keeping on top of the housework etc.
It has meant that time with Mr L has really been put to one side. He too has been busy with work and has also had this hideous cold so we really haven’t much time on our own. We are both around when Baba is around and then Mr L has really been catching up on sleep while I work late into the night. It isn’t nice but needs must at times.
So it was lovely at the weekend to shut the order book up for a couple of days, and to actually spend some time together on our own first, and as a family.
Friday night Mr L and I went out with friends, and Baba went to Nannies. It was lovely to spend some time together and when we got home we actually talked. Talked about everything and anything, and probably talked more than we have done in a long time. It was lovely to have the time, to be able to just sit and not to have to Baba proof what we were saying or talking about. It is something that we have not done for a long time.
Saturday we had a really lovely day and then as a family went to Mr L’s Aunties and Uncles 30th Wedding Anniversary. It was a lovely evening and Baba had a great time running around with cousins that he didn’t know he had and dancing on the dance floor. He really enjoyed it and it was really lovely to see. Mr L and I were pretty shattered but it was still a lovely sight.
Sunday we again just chilled and had a lovely day all together. It is something that is very rare to be honest. We didn’t feel stressed or having to do this and that. Things were done and it was easy to get them done and it was a lovely nice chilled weekend.
We all come out of the weekend feeling like we had a really nice time and all got to spend time with each other, rather than us both spending lots of time with Baba and no time with each other just on our own. Something that we need to do lots more in the future.
