Photos

Anyone who knows me knows how important photos are too me. Obviously I love them, I scrapbook for a living! But they are on the top of the list of objects to get out of the house in a case of a fire.

I am a little OCD about them as well, I like them all to be organised and sorted, the pictures that I have that are printed, are very organised. However I have never managed that with the pictures on the computer.

They were organised, and then we went and got a new computer, and in the transfer they all got a little messed up. Now that I have an external hard drive, I have decided to get them completely sorted and dealt with in my own OCD manner. This is a task that is going to take a long time!

After a little advice last night I started on the mammoth task, by 2am I had been working on it for three hours and had just started to hit the photos that were taken in April this year. That shows you how many pictures I have! I would also like to say this is not editing them this is just putting them into named files!

I hate to think how long editing will take!

But you know even though I am a little tired, and I was only doing pictures from this week up until April this year I have still managed to find pictures that I had completely forgot that I had! Lots of the pictures are just in the dates and I only see the first couple of pictures and have forgotten all the other pictures that were taken on that date. I am re finding pictures, can you imagine what it will be like when I have gone through them all?

I had a little glitch last night as some pictures were stored somewhere else on the computer and I couldn’t find them. I was very close to tears as it was all the pictures of Baba as a baby, luckily they were all found and they are being transferred to the same place as the rest of the pictures as we speak.

I am really enjoying doing this and it is actually an item on my 101 Things to do in 1001 Days. There will be more on that list soon. But for now I have to go, I have a couple of hours before we have friends over so am going to get in a little more photo organising. I told you I was obsessed!
