Overwhelm
Life has become really overwhelming recently. And if I am totally honest I don’t even know why.
It isn’t like I suddenly woke one day and thought arghh, but it definitely crept up on me.
Work, the house, Tropic, Rhianna Lily Designs, here, being mum, wife and friend and looking after myself all just was so much to do.
So I didn’t really do any of it.
And then it was too much to deal with.
So I took a stand.
A start to make a change.
I found my bullet journal that has been stacking a shelf for the last six months and I sat down and I wrote. And I wrote and I wrote.
In fact I wrote five whole pages worth.

Five whole pages of a brain dump.
I dumped everything on those pages, from doing the washing, to deciding on starting a vegetable patch, from reading to sorting out finances.
If it has been in my head recently then it was scrawled on these pages.
I have had so many things going round and round in my head that it has almost become impossible to function.
This was like a weight being lifted.
The list was dumped out of my head and on paper and I could make sense of it.
There wasnt the urgency it all has to be done today, just it has to be done and it will be done. But I feel like I can focus on each thing, one step at a time.
And that is so less overwhelming, that is functional and that means I can progress through the things that I want and need to.
It has been a huge help to the overwhelm.
Today I got things done.
I wrote my list, I completed my list and I feel like I can see past all the overwhelm I have felt recently.
It was the best thing to sit and just write and unload.
To readjust and get a bit of focus back from the overwhelming feeling of just not knowing where to start!
