Old School Gaming

My family love a computer game.

Hubby and the boys love them and can spend hours playing them.

The boys get it from their dad and he collects a lot of old game consoles and doesn’t let us chuck any out as we buy new ones.

It takes over the whole spare room.

It’s a weird collection that I don’t really understand and have never really seen the point of it!

Until we are into the millionth day of lockdown and the boys usual games have been played over and over and even they are sick to death of them!

Then the old consoles have a great purpose.

Yesterday we had a rummage around and found all of the Nintendo Wii including all the games and decided to move it from the spare room back down to the lounge.

It was set up within minutes and the boys were loving it as soon as they could get on it.

They have been boxing, playing tennis, baseball and BB even found a very old Pokemon game to play.

It has been a great way to change their times on the computer and to give them option of something else to play while we are all spending a lot of time at home.

And they were interested again.

So maybe the whole keeping the old consoles isn’t a bad idea, but we won’t make a big deal out of that!
