Happy New Year and 2016 Goals

A Happy New Year and 2016 Goals, 2016 Resolutions, Resolutions, Goal Setting, Plans, Intentions, Business, Family, Health

So it’s that time again, where we all shout A Happy New Year and 2016 goals are set, or resolutions, intentions, aims, whatever you want to call them. They are set with all good intentions and within a few weeks they are all but forgotten about, until next January when we do them all again.

So firstly Happy New Year to you all, and you are still here! I have been a little sporadic with my blogging over the last couple of years, but that is one of the first goals I have for this coming year.

2016 is going to be the year I blog better. When I say that I mean to blog better for me. I love this space now, I have done some serious changes on the blog and I really enjoy writing in this space again. It took a long time to get it where I wanted it to be. But now it is at a place that I am really happy with. And I love writing on it. Recording our day-to-day adventures and just writing away to myself. I always wanted this to be a diary of our lives and a space for other bereaved parents and siblings to read how we cope without Rhianna and I want to expand on that over the next year. But also including my arts and crafts, the boys, the dogs, and our adventures.

I want myself, Mr L and the boys to be at our most healthiest. We have let ourselves slip over the last few years, two children, work, depression, and bereavement can do that too you. But it is time we pulled ourselves together and change that. This is the year we will change our eating habits and finally get back on track and show the boys good examples. It is going to be a long process and I am not claiming anything will happen over night but things need to change and we are wanting to change them. That’s the biggest hurdle isn’t it. So watch this space as food becomes a big part of our lives and exercise! Never thought I would write that.

But to look after the family I need to look after myself first. I need to eat better, exercise and create a place that I am happy in. We started it last year but it needs to continue this year, and it is something I am really focused on. But also it is about making time for me, hence the first point. I want to blog, I love writing and it makes me happy so I am going to do as much as possible this year. I love to create things so I am going to create things, and I am going to enjoy doing it. But if looking after myself means an evening lounging in the bath and reading a book then that is what I am going to do, because if I am not ok, then that shows in the boys and in Mr L.

That leads onto creating a place we are all happy in, decluttering the house, getting rid of the rubbish, the things that are no longer needed. Letting go of the past, and moving on, with a structured living place. A place that has space for everything that is in it, and that is used to its fullest potential which isn’t currently happening.

Working, I am so excited about this in 2016. I can’t tell you how excited I am. Tropic is going to be amazing this year, already I have Pamper Experiences booked for January and I am determined to share the Tropic love with everyone that I know this year, and I know that everyone that tries it will love it. Who wouldn’t want clean, chemical free, not tested on animals and Vegan friendly products on their skin. It gets me so excited just thinking where I will be this time next year with Tropic I can not wait to share it with everyone.

Studying, I have two courses I want to finish in 2016 and can not wait to finish them both. Firstly my creative writing course and secondly my make up and skin care course. Completely different I know, but both so interesting and I am really looking forward to getting them finished and seeing what I can do with both of them.

The biggest goal of the year is to create some amazing memories with the family. If we get the house sorted to have specific areas that are used for specific things, the boys will have an amazing playroom to play in, they will have an amazing garden to play in and an amazing area to do art and crafts in. But I also want to create memories doing things, going places, seeing places, having adventures. I want them both to learn to ride a bike, and get confident on their scooters so that we can go and explore places near us and take day trips to different experiences. I want them to have a year of fun. We finished last year in Butlins doing just that creating amazing memories and I plan to continue that throughout 2016.

No major goals for 2016 but all goals that will make a big difference to our lives and ones that we will feel so much better for at the end of the year.

Have you got any goals or resolutions for 2016?
