Hand Sewing Project

I am naturally not a hand sewer, I actually hate hand sewing and only really ever do it for scouting badges for the boys.

But I have had this draft excluder craft kit for a while now and it has always been put to one side as it involves hand sewing and I do not enjoy doing it.

However it has got cold and we have a bit of a draft coming in under our back door so we really need a draft excluder at the moment, so today I thought I would start the kit and see how I got on with it.

It is not going to be a project I finish quickly, I take forever to sew and it has taken me all of today to just iron the fusible webbing onto the fabric and to cut out all of the pieces and sew just one star on!

But it is one that I am going to keep going with until it is finished as I would like it completed now that I have started it.

I just hope it looks good once I have finished it and doesn’t have too many mistakes in it. As it is the first time I have ever done anything like this!

And hopefully I won’t stab my fingers too many times when I am sewing!
