Half Term Week – 3D Cinema!

This is Baba’s first half term since starting ‘big school’ both Mr L and I were more excited than Baba on Friday when it was his last day of school.

A whole week of him to ourselves, not having to worry about time, lazing in the mornings, sleeping in late, staying up late and just chilling.

However so was everyone else that knows Baba and our week suddenly got very busy.

We have had an activity planned every day this week except Tuesday and it has been a little mental, but we have also done lots of new things.

Monday we went off to the cinema with one of Baba’s friends, it was different straight away as his friend’s sister wasn’t there and Baba has got used to sharing his friend so it was a lovely treat day with just the boys, and it meant that we were able to go to the cinema as well. Baba loves the cinema he has been caught a few times, and is a real film buff at the tender age of five, he totally takes after his Daddy with this.

But he has never seen anything in 3D, he is very fascinated with 3D TV’s when we see them in stores, but he hasn’t seen any sort of programme like this, let alone a film.

We went to see Turbo and put our glasses on ready for the film.

At first Baba seemed pretty settled but towards the end of the movie he didn’t like the glasses, which kept falling down his nose, as in a cinema they are just a universal size and obviously smaller faces are just a little too little for them. Which was a shame as it meant he saw the final part of the film all a little fuzzy. As it was meant for 3D.

He loved the movie though and it was a proper Mummy and Son day out, sitting in the cinema and then off for food afterwards.

He also saw a trailer for Walk with Dinosaurs in 3D which he said he really wanted to see so I am going to try to find some 3D glasses that will fit his little face so that he is able to see this movie as it does look fantastic and is out over Christmas.
