Five Years

Five years ago today we were all getting ready.

I had people all over my house.

Bridesmaids ironing.

Hairdressers doing hair.

And a photographer taking pictures of our every move.

Five years today I married my bestest friend.

And had the best day ever.

A lot has happened in five years.

We have had things that have tested us, done new things, repeated old things, grown, seen new adventures and basically had a lot of fun in the last five years.

We have achieved things we both had on our bucket lists together.

And have achieved things we hadn’t even thought of five years ago together.

Some things we have never had planned but still achieved them.

Some things we would do again.

Some things we would never attempt again.

But in those five years we have stood next to each other, supported each other, however wild the idea or plan was. Laughed together, cried together and worked together.

In five years we have learnt to love each other over and over again every single day.

And every day has been special in its own way!

Even if it was just a smile across the room while the kids are screaming, the little things are what matter the most.

And I can not wait for the future years and to see what they all hold and what adventures we will achieve and where we will be in the future!
