First of July and a Little Crafting!

Suddenly we are in July, and I am not really sure where the first half of the year has disappeared too.

It seems like Christmas came and I blinked and the rest of the year has just flown by, and I think it is made worse because nothing has really happened, as the last three months we have generally all just been at home.

I think we can all honestly say that this has been one of the strangest years ever.

As we have all been stuck indoors, or restricted to what and who we can see and when, we have been having a bit of a major sort out at home.

Finally the things that have been sitting around and have been put on the ‘one day’ pile, are slowly but surely getting sorted.

One of those things this last week was our bedroom.

It needed a bit of a rejig, it was the room that all the things that have no home, and where all the paperwork for the house sits. In bags generally.

They have now all been sorted.

And the crafting area of the room has also been sorted.

My scrapbooking came to a bit of a standstill if I am honest, as I haven’t liked the way it was all set up, so I didn’t choose to do any crafting.

So over the last few days I have been having a bit of a sort out, and am really liking the new set up for all my crafting supplies and how I have now organised my scrapbooking stuff.

And it has made a huge difference.

For the first time in weeks I actually did some scrapbooking.

I used some of my mini albums that I made ages ago when I was still running Scrapbookerry, and actually used them for some of my Polaroid Snap Instant pictures that I have had sitting around in the bags of paperwork that needed to be sorted.

I made one with a couple of pictures from our trip to Bunn Leisure quite a few years ago.

The other one I filled with pictures of the boys, Mr L and myself and the dogs that have just been taken at home over the last few years.

None of them were significant photos, just pictures from us all at home chilling on different days, some in the summer, some at Christmas.

Just simple day to day photos, from a couple of years ago.

They may be simple, boring, day to day photos, but to me all photos are important.

And I like having this day to day pictures just in their own little mini albums.

They are little snippets of our normal day to day lives and to me they are so important.

As they just represent us, and what we do on a day to day basis, and bring back memories of us just chilling and that is the most important thing to me!

Finally scrapbooking has started again, and the block has lifted, now I just need to really catch up with all the albums that I need to finish and the ones that I need to get started!

It is a task and a half but one I am determined to get more on top of over the next few months!

Lets make the second half of this year a productive one with regards to my scrapbooking!
