Family Time
This weekend I have not had the computer on at all! I know a shock! We had a family weekend of swimming, playing, laughing, going to the beach, some shopping, and going on the funfair.
It was a fab weekend and 0ne that was really needed. It was nice to actually forget about work on both sides, it was nice to spend time with Baba as a family and for him to have our total attention and not be sharing it with work, writing or the computer.
I even managed to crack on with the house work, and everything is done in the house, I still haven’t sorted everything but I think they are on the rainy day lists now! I managed to do some crafts in the evenings and just had a bit of relaxation time.
We discovered that Baba has a love of funfair rides! I was very happy about this Mr L not so happy. Funfairs are a thing of hate for Mr L teacups make him feel ill, so it was always in the back of my mind that Baba maybe the same. I personally love funfairs don’t get to go on them often now, going rides on your own is a little boring! But my son seems to love them as much as I do. He went on trains, a small roller-coaster for children x3 and was giggling, screaming and loving every time. He could not get enough of it! I can not wait till he is a little older and we can go on big huge rides together, and the best thing we have a built in bag holder with Mr L around!
Baba was really relaxed and having so much fun all weekend. He loved swimming with Daddy and just loved experiencing something new, he loved it so much that toileting was a little slack this weekend. He knew he needed to go but he was having so much fun that he didn’t think to ask until the absolute last minute, but if your having fun toileting is really the last thing on your mind! As that is just a little boring!
But I have come back refreshed and feeling good about work and have lots of plans in my head. Getting the plans out of my head and working may take a little while but I am focused and fueled to get going, so watch this space.
I have also come away from the weekend hoping that we do this more often. Just having fun as a family, this is the most important thing. Nothing else matters, it is all about the family.
