Everything Is Changing

The last few weeks seem to have flown by.

We started the month of June with our first ever evening at Baba’s primary school, within that time we have gone from one meeting to the first induction day whizzing along to Baba’s last induction day and tomorrow I have my final meeting with Baba’s class teacher before he starts in September.

We have come to the end of a massive chapter in Baba’s life, last week was his last ever sports day at his preschool. It was also the first and only one that Mr L managed to get to see.

Baba was a little superstar, he did four races. He run two, he came second in one and he fell over in one, but he got back up and still ran to the end. The photos that I have say it all. He was literally grinning from ear to ear at every race and could not contain his excitement that Daddy was there to watch him. He has never really shown an interest in sport, but he found a love for it on Friday and both myself and Mr L were so proud of him and it was lovely that Mr L got to see him do so well threw out all of his races.

But there was a sadness in the fact that it was his last race, and this week is his last week.

He did his last ever full day at preschool today.

He has his last session on Thursday and then the last day party on Friday and that is it!

He is no longer a toddler at preschool he is a four-year old nearly five-year old off to primary school and it has all come around so fast, and it is scary and I am stupidly emotional about it.

He will now be in school until he is an adult and can make decisions himself and that scares the live out of me.

It isn’t just me and him any more, from September he will be in someone else’s care from 8.55-3.25 five days a week. It wont just be about Baba and Mummy any more and I am so sad about it.

I am not ready for him to grow up.

It is all happening so fast and things are changing so quick.

And I just don’t think I am ready for it all yet!
