Draft Excluder
Today I made a draft excluder.
It has been something I have thought about for a while, as we head into the winter with the huge costs over us.
I thought that something I could do was make a couple of draft excluders for the front and back doors.

I have had this fabric for what seems like forever, but I never really knew what to do with it, it was a bunch of fabric that I brought ages ago, I can’t even remember where I got it from, but it was in a jelly roll, and it has sat there since.
So when I decided that I wanted some draft excluders I knew that this would be great for the job as I figured that I would get two draft excluders from the fabric, and I was right.
I spent the day making the strips into checks and sewing them all together and then stuffed the finished roll with soft toy filling, it was that simple, and I have enough for another draft excluder.
I really am pleased with it.
I am not the best at sewing but I am really happy how it turned out and will be finishing the next one over the next few days, so that I have one for the back and the front door.
It was something that I wanted to do, to try to help stop some of the cold air coming in via the doors, and I am pleased I attempted it and really happy with how it has turned out. I also really love how all the colours look together. And I have finally got a usage for the fabric that has been sitting on the side for years now! That makes these even better as it means that I am using up stuff at home, they cost me nothing except my time and I am no longer wasting the material that I had sitting doing nothing!
