Christmas Time
Now we don’t have massive families I have one sister and she has a husband and two children and my parents. Mr L has two grandparents, his parents a brother and his sister, her other half and their baby so not huge. But it still is a lot of planning for Christmas.
Mr L’s family is all about Christmas it is the highlight of their year and a big event.
We have our families to buy for and Baba has six aunts and uncles, god parents and guardians that he buys for and one little friend. Mr L buys for a friend and I buy for two. All in all Baba buys for twenty people and Mr L and I have a list for nineteen people.
It amounts to a lot of money. This year we have cut down on my family by putting the six adults into a secret santa and buying silly items instead, only spending £20 which has cut our list to seventeen which is nice.
Mr L has been stressing that we have so much to do for Christmas and only five weeks left. So this weekend we concentrated on Christmas shopping.
After two days he still didn’t think we had done very much so last night we got everything out. We have three huge boxes of presents.
After getting everything out we are doing ok. We have completely finished five off Babas twenty and the others only need little bits brought for them to be completed.
Our list is looking better everyone has at least one thing. We have finished four people out of the seventeen but know what we are getting everyone else. There are some things that need to get made so I need to get on with them and I have to sort something out for a lot of people to get a present as there is one thing that is the same for lots of people. So I am feeling a lot better for Christmas I have to say I feel like we are getting somewhere.
Now the next thing on the list is Christmas cards they are all going to be started next week and I am going to have a few nights of making before sending them all off. That is a big job. This week I need to sit down and write a list of who needs to get cards so I know how many to make!
I am now feeling ready for Christmas only five weeks and five days people that’s all!
You are sounding very efficient here! But then the weeks fly by so fast you have to be organised. I’ll be sure to find I have no sellotape at 10pm on Christmas Eve!
Oh that is something that I would so do. There would be a quick dash to my mums to get tape. Lol xx

Argh! I suppsoe the bonus of cutting myself off from my family means I only have Jon’s family to buy for! He hs one sister and one brother who have each given us a nephew and niece so only have to buy for them, his mum and his stepdad. Yay! Have got Niece and Nephews sorted so only the adults and the rest of Oli’ to get! Me and Jon dont do Christmas gifts for each other as we buy each other stuff through out the year. I cant believe there’s only 5 weeks left!! Argghh!!!!
Well you sound pretty organised miss have to say. I know only five weeks it is madness isn’t it all this planning and talking about and then it is over in a few hours. Then planning for my birthday!!!! Xxx

I haven’t even started, haven’t been able to but luckily I certainly don’t have as big a number of people as you. It’s the children that I worry about.
