Capturing The Christmas Magic
I am a self taught photographer, and don’t have great skills but it is something that I really enjoy. I would love to have the skills to use really technical cameras, but unfortunately my skills still aren’t that great and I am best with a camera that isn’t too technical and I can still point and shoot and get a great picture.
As I generally have a camera where ever we go, Baba is also developing a love of cameras, and recently has been asking more and more to take his own pictures and use our camera. Which means we really do need a simple point and shoot camera for him to use.
I have always loved Sony cameras, they are simple to understand and easy to use, and the choice of the camera is amazing. Their Cyber-Shot range is vast and has cameras in it that cater for me, who wants a little bit more detail and the ability to improve my photography skills, but also has the basic camera for Baba to start his photography journey on, and having cameras that point and shoot that are water, dust, freeze and shock proof is a great starting point for a 5 year old photographer.
We will be taking a lot of photos over the Christmas period, getting action shots of the children’s faces opening their presents, and seeing all the things under the tree.
It is great being able to capture every ones special moments throughout the day. Every year we have a full album of our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, as we try to capture every moment from the minute we start putting presents under the tree.

We don’t just take photos at Christmas though as we want proper action snippets of memories, I love hearing the squeals and laughter from family over Christmas and it is the one time of the year that we always get out our camcorder. We have had one since Baba was born and it is wonderful to own and capture the fun and laughter in the family over the Christmas period. It is a great Handycam camcorder that captures all the action in High Definition making sure that we don’t miss out any memories that are made at Christmas, with both the camcorder and a camera capturing all the action.
